Christian marriage is a solemn and public covenant between a man and a woman in the presence of God.
  In the Episcopal Church it is required that one, at least, of the parties must be a baptized Christian;
that the ceremony be attested by at least two witnesses;
and that the marriage conform to the laws of the State and the canons of the Church.

Weddings
Because a wedding is a service of worship, the guidelines for weddings and music are subject to the same standards as any other worship service at St. Peter’s.  All inquiries about the availability of St. Peter’s Church for weddings are first directed to Mary Virginia Woodall, the wedding coordinator.  You may email her at mvwoodall@st-peters.org or call her at 704-749-6141. [Please note:  Weddings are typically not scheduled during Advent or Lent.]

 

Receptions
You are welcome to use the Martha Bowles Parish Hall for your reception.  La-tea-da’s Catering provides all food and drink for St. Peter’s events.  You may contact them at 704-338-6864.

 

WEDDING RATES 2012-2013

PACKAGE #1:  SATURDAY WEDDING CEREMONY ONLY (CHURCH) Includes wedding director/coordinator, facility manager, two custom altar floral arrangements, one hour for rehearsal-Friday.  You will have use of the building two hours before the wedding, and one hour after wedding.	$2,800.00
PACKAGE #2:  SATURDAY WEDDING AND RECEPTION * Includes all of Package #1 plus use of the Martha Bowles Parish Hall and one off-duty policeman.	$3,300.00
PACKAGE #3:  FRIDAY NIGHT REHEARSAL DINNER *, SATURDAY WEDDING AND RECEPTION * Includes all of Package #1 plus use of the Martha Bowles Parish Hall for 2 nights and off-duty policeman both nights.	$3,400.00
PACKAGE #4:  FRIDAY REHEARSAL DINNER * SATURDAY WEDDING CEREMONY Includes all of Package #1, plus use of the Martha Bowles Parish Hall and one off-duty policeman.	$3,000.00
PACKAGE #5:  FRIDAY NIGHT WEDDING CEREMONY AND RECEPTION * Includes all of Package #1 and one off-duty policeman.	$2,600.00
PACKAGE #6:  FRIDAY NIGHT WEDDING CEREMONY ONLY Includes all of Package #1.	$2000.00
PACKAGE #7:  WEDDING RECEPTION ONLY - Includes one off-duty policeman.	$1,900.00

 

The fee for St. Peter’s organist is $400.  Should you wish to have Fr. Tim Raasch from St. Peter’s officiate at your wedding, the fee is $400.00.
