The Choir School at St. Peter’s is made up of five choirs: The Boys Touring Choir, The Girls Touring Choir, The Boys Town Choir, The Girls Town Choir and The MasterSingers at St. Peter’s. The boys and girls who join the choir love to sing, enjoy excellence and a challenge and want to be part of a team. Their parents believe music education is important, want unique performance and travel opportunities for their child and value poise, etiquette and discipline.
The Boys Touring Choir
The Boys Touring Choir at St. Peter’s is primarily a performing ensemble with a significant education component. In a highly structured environment, the gentlemen of the choir, ages approximately 9 to voice-change, prepare music for traditional Episcopal worship services, concerts and tours. Most boys come to the Touring Choir after developing music reading skills in the Town Choir. The Girls Touring Choir
The Girls Touring Choir at St. Peter’s is primarily a performing ensemble with a significant education component. Originally patterned after the Boys Touring Choir, the Girls Choir has taken on a character of its own. It remains highly structured but with a more universal sense of mentoring from older girls to younger. With excellence as their common goal, the girls of the choir take pride in caring for each other while mastering the various disciplines that the music requires. The girls also prepare music for traditional Episcopal worship services, concerts and tours and most come to the Touring Choir after developing music reading skills in the Town Choir.
