 Touring is an essential part of The Choir School experience. As an integral part of The Choir School year, all singers in the three touring choirs (Boys Touring, Girls Touring, and MasterSingers) are expected to participate in the summer tour. This opportunity is part of the foundation of The Choir School. Touring not only provides additional performance opportunities, but provides additional opportunities for musical growth, cultural awareness and independence.
Touring begins at the Touring Choir level where the singers engage in a 6 -7 day domestic tour annually. These tours usually involve daily public concerts in churches as well as leading a church service on Sunday and providing performances for retirement centers, nursing homes or hospitals. Most years, the MasterSingers are included in this domestic tour. Every fourth years, the MasterSingers embark on an international tour to England, singing in the great Anglican Cathedrals and learning more about our roots as a Choir School. By touring abroad every four years, we ensure that all singers embark on one international tour during their time with the choir.
