A Benefit for The Choir School at St. Peter’s

The five combined choirs of The Choir School at St. Peter’s,  ranging in age from eight to eighteen and including The Boys and Girls Tour Choirs, The Boys and Girls Town Choirs and the teen MasterSingers, will  once again present their annual Cabaret Night performance at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, October 7, 2011.   A fun filled evening featuring a lighter repertoire of classics, spirituals and show tunes, Cabaret Night has become an annual favorite for the Charlotte audience.  This year, special guest artists will include Renaissance, a select group of singers who are committed to presenting high-quality choral music to the Charlotte region.  Founded in 2002 by Robert Pritchard, the group sings short-form classical music from all periods and genres, and annually presents three concerts in Charlotte, along with a fall worship service at the majestic Duke University Chapel and an annual appearance at Piccolo Spoleto.  Rounding out the evening, The Choir School will also be joined by Alan and Chad Edwards, lead singers and guitarists of the Loudermilks, well known in Charlotte’s alternative-country-rock scene.   While this duo’s repertoire is difficult to pin down, we can promise you the utmost in toe-tapping entertainment.  The WB Moore Company, one of the premier electrical contractors in Charlotte, is our corporate sponsor for the evening.

Patron tickets for the evening are $50 for adults and $30 for children, and include a pre-concert reception, priority, reserved seating at the concert and a tax-deductible donation to The Choir School.  General Admission tickets are $30 and also include a tax-deductible donation.  Free parking is available in the Transamerica parking deck, the entrance of which is located on 7^th Street between Tryon and Church Streets.  Bring your parking ticket with you into the concert for validation.  For tickets, please contact The Choir School at St. Peter’s office at 704.749.6146 or send payment to The Choir School at 115 West Seventh Street, Charlotte, NC  28202.  Come join the fun!
